Tysons, VA – Fluet is pleased to announce the addition of Partner John Purcell to the firm’s Corporate + Transactions Practice.

John Purcell, an experienced business attorney and law firm founder, will assist clients with a wide range of transactional and corporate matters with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. “We are very excited to welcome John to the firm’s rapidly growing Corporate + Transactional Practice,” says Tom Craig, Fluet Managing Partner. “He boasts a very unique blend of legal experience having worked with both high stakes large transactions and providing pragmatic advice to midsize and growing companies, making him the perfect fit for Fluet.”

John brings more than two decades of corporate and transactional experience to Fluet, having represented companies of all sizes and industries – both domestic and international. By joining the firm, John is reuniting with friend and colleague, Brad McConnell, Corporate + Transactional Practice Chair. “I could not be more thrilled that my old friend and former colleague has chosen to join us… I have known John for nearly 25 years since we first worked together as Associates at (what is now) DLA Piper. During his career, John has been a strong corporate counselor and has successfully advised companies in a variety of multi-million-dollar transactions, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings (IPOs). He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and is barred in the District of Columbia and New York.
