A career paralegal, Kira Muren brings deep industry skills and knowledge to Fluet. Primarily supporting the firm’s Corporate + Transactional and Government Contracts Practices, Ms. Muren assists Partners and Associates alike with maintaining corporate records and registrations, preparation and filing of security notices at the federal and state level and coordinating both the due diligence and disclosure processes for corporate deals.
Prior to joining Fluet, she served as an in-house corporate paralegal at the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), a large national non-profit association that advocates for and supports the growth of the general aviation population. During her tenure, Ms. Muren worked directly with the organization’s general counsel on a wide variety of corporate matters including assisting with overseeing corporate governance and compliance, managing the board of trustees and committees permanent records, leading planning and logistics of the annual member meeting, coordinating with top management to implement robust IP docketing software, as well as providing contract support through drafting/reviewing agreements, tracking deadlines, and coordinating execution. Before joining AOPA, she spent eight years in private practice as a Commercial Litigation Paralegal.
Ms. Muren graduated summa cum laude from Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Frederick Community College. She now serves on the Paralegal Studies Program Advisory Committee at Frederick Community College.
