Joe Fluet

Founder

Joe Fluet founded Fluet (then Fluet & Huber) in 2009 after years of working at a large D.C. law firm. Throughout his career, Joe encountered several clients who expressed a need for specialized, but cost-effective, legal guidance as compared to the traditional “big law” firm. So, to fill a void in the marketplace, he started Fluet & Huber a specialized mid-sized alternative to traditional law firms. As part of his legal practice, Mr. Fluet has represented and counseled clients on a wide variety of matters including government inquiries and internal investigations, corporate structures and business transactions, government contracting and export compliance, as well as civil litigation and criminal defense. Holding an active TS-SCI security clearance, he has an extensive experience with the defense, intelligence, and aviation industries.

Mr. Fluet’s robust practice focuses on solving complex legal and business challenges in a variety of areas and industries, including aviation services, C4ISR services, intelligence support, operations support, program management, government investigations, internal investigations, corporate structuring, corporate transactions, export compliance, government contracts, and security clearance issues.

Possessing a diverse professional background prior to founding Fluet, he served as a Washington, D.C. attorney specializing in government contracts and international law, a judicial law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and also had a distinguished career in the military and national security, including service in both active and reserve forces.

A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Fluet has founded and led multiple highly successful companies, spanning a wide array of industries. He sits on numerous corporate and non-profit boards and committees including the Board of Directors for Clairvest, International Spy Museum, Top Aces, MAG Aerospace, and Momentum Solutions. He is also on the Veteran Advisory Board for the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
