Fluet is proud to announce that Managing Partner Tom Craig has been named to Lawdragon’s prestigious “2026 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know” class, joining an elite group of law firm leaders recognized for their visionary leadership, inclusive approach, and ability to navigate the complex challenges facing today’s legal profession.

Lawdragon’s 2026 list celebrates Managing Partners who “inspire and lead as never before” and “represent a new era of what it looks like to lead a law firm.” These leaders guide firms of all sizes through an increasingly competitive landscape while managing independent-minded legal professionals and adapting to shifting economic and industry dynamics.

“Tom’s inclusion in this distinguished group reflects his exceptional leadership and the transformative impact he’s had on Fluet,” says David Panzer, Chair of the firm’s Government Contracts Practice. “His unique combination of leading from the front, military discipline, and genuine commitment to our people has positioned Fluet as a nationally recognized boutique firm while preserving the entrepreneurial culture that defines us.”

Under Tom’s leadership, Fluet has expanded 5x in both headcount and revenue while maintaining its values-driven, mission-oriented culture. His distinctive leadership approach draws from over 21 years of active-duty service as a U.S. Marine, primarily in intelligence and counterintelligence roles, combined with his extensive legal expertise in government contracting and complex litigation.

Recent Historic Achievement

Tom recently led the Fluet team advising a leading U.S. shipbuilder in connection with a historic sole-source contract awarded by the U.S. Coast Guard to build five Arctic Security Cutters (ASCs), a new class of polar icebreakers designed to strengthen U.S. operational presence in the Arctic. The engagement required navigating complex international, compliance, and security issues as part of a program authorized by Presidential Memorandum for up to 11 total ASCs, representing a critical investment in national security and maritime safety.

Distinguished Legal Practice

Tom’s legal practice focuses on representing government contractors in high-stakes litigation and sensitive matters. His experience includes securing nine-figure judgments, resolving multimillion-dollar disputes involving intelligence community contractors, and handling matters requiring comprehensive coordination of legal, media, political, and consulting efforts. He also brings extensive employment law experience, advising on employment practices and litigating complex employment issues.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Illinois and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.

Community Involvement

Beyond his legal practice, Tom remains actively engaged in the veteran community, dedicating his time to assisting transitioning veterans as they navigate civilian life and establish their own businesses.

Under Tom’s continued leadership, Fluet remains committed to delivering excellence in client service while fostering a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where talented legal professionals can thrive.
