Fluet is proud to announce its membership on George Washington (GW) University Law School’s Government Contracts Advisory Council. David Panzer, JD 1998, Chair of the firm’s Government Contracts Practice, will represent Fluet on the Council.
The Government Contracts Advisory Council brings together leaders from across the public procurement and acquisition field, including representatives from the bench, industry, government, private practice, and academia, to support and advise GW Law’s Government Procurement Law Program.
“I’m honored to represent Fluet on the Government Contracts Advisory Council and to strengthen our longstanding relationship with GW Law,” says David Panzer. “As a GW Law graduate, I had the privilege of learning from legendary professors like Joshua Schwartz, who helped shape my approach to government contracts law. This appointment allows us to give back to the program that has been instrumental in developing talent for our practice and the broader government contracts community. We’re excited to collaborate with such an illustrious group of leaders in this space.”
This appointment reflects the strong alignment between the two institutions. GW Law operates the premier Government Contracts Law Program in the country from its location in the nation’s capital, while Fluet has established itself as the only boutique national security-focused law firm to be ranked by Chambers in 2025 for Government Contracts.
The firm’s relationship with GW Law runs deep. In addition to David, Fluet has consistently recruited exceptional talent from the school’s Government Contracts program. Seven other Fluet attorneys earned their JD degrees from GW Law:
- Brad McConnell, Co-Chair, Corporate + Transactional Practice (Class of 1995)
- Matthew Thrasher, Counsel, Government Contracts + International Trade Practices (Class of 2014)
- Warren Bianchi, Senior Associate, Government Contracts Practice (Class of 2016)
- Kia Rahnama, Senior Associate, Litigation + Investigations & Government Contracts Practices (Class of 2018)
- Amanda Sin, Associate, Government Contacts Practice (Class of 2023)
- Alanna Schetty, Associate, International Trade Practice (Class of 2025)
- Razi Hashmi, Law Clerk + Senior Policy Advisor (Class of 2025)
Through the firm’s participation in the Advisory Council, Fluet looks forward to further strengthening relationships within the government contracts community and helping to shape the next generation of practitioners in this critical field.
