Marlene Egierski is an Associate in the Government Contracts Practice at Fluet who brings her experience as a former federal Contracting Officer and agency Attorney-Advisor to her representation of government contractors in procurement and compliance matters.
Ms. Egierski has experience defending agencies in bid protests before the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and at the agency level, including developing case strategy, drafting requests for dismissal, and preparing agency reports. She also provides counsel on all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, from solicitation development and amendments through award, modifications, and terminations for convenience. Ms. Egierski advises clients on compliance with federal procurement regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Prior to joining Fluet, Ms. Egierski served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Contract Law Division at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she provided acquisition and contract advisory support and briefed senior leadership on policy and legislative matters. Ms. Egierski also worked in the Ethics Law and Program Office at Commerce, where she advised on ethics compliance, reviewed financial disclosure reports, and conducted conflict of interest analyses for senior officials, including matters before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). Her background also includes service as a Contracting Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency, where she managed a portfolio of multi-million-dollar contracts.
While in law school, Ms. Egierski served as Editor-in-Chief of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Order of the Barristers. She also served as President and National Student Representative for Equal Justice Works.
In her free time, you can find Ms. Egierski enjoys spending time with her family, especially as a new mom, reading, and baking sweet treats for friends.
