A key Partner in Fluet’s Corporate + Transactional Practice and Government Contracts Practice, Eric Kronman is an accomplished legal professional with a career spanning nearly 20 years both at law firms and in-house at government contractors and technology companies. He brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, government contracting, intellectual property licensing, corporate governance, executive compensation, real estate leasing, and commercial lending and borrowing.

Most recently, Mr. Kronman was a Partner at a boutique law firm in Tysons, VA where he represented public companies and private companies, private equity funds, and venture capitalists across various industries including information technology, supply chain, distribution, software as a service, professional services, cybersecurity, and government contracting. There he led all aspects of transactions, provided business and tax advice, managed corporate governance and equity incentives, negotiated and drafted executive employment agreements, conducted due diligence, negotiated deals, drafted agreements, and provided critical advice as the outside general counsel to many government contractors and technology firms.

Prior to that, Mr. Kronman held leadership roles at several prominent government contractors and high-tech companies, including Constellis, MITRE, Spaceflight Industries / BlackSky, and Patrocinium Systems. At these companies, Mr. Kronman not only handled all aspects of the companies’ legal and contracts needs, but he also led from a legal perspective and supported business teams on the awards of billions of dollars of government contracts and subcontracts, the creation of new products and service offerings, the acquisitions of multiple companies, and the successful completion of multiple exits through the sales of companies and divisions.

Mr. Kronman is a skilled negotiator and has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including government contracts, purchase and merger agreements, joint ventures, licensing arrangements, leases, employment contracts, and equity and debt financings. Mr. Kronman is well-versed in handling due diligence, financial modeling, and risk allocating and mitigation.   Mr. Kronman has also advised companies on industrial security matters, including navigating FOCI mitigation for facility clearances and managing CFIUS-covered transactions.

Throughout his career, he has negotiated over 50 equity financing transactions ranging from angel and seed rounds to over $100 million late stage-rounds. Mr. Kronman has led dozens of mergers and acquisitions, including stock purchases, mergers, and asset deals including both domestic and foreign buyers and sellers. He also has a broad range of experience representing both lenders and borrowers in commercial lending and corporate finance transactions and has represented tenants in commercial leases.

Beyond his experience as an attorney, Mr. Kronman has held senior business roles at multiple companies. He was a co-founder of a successfully exited mobile application and strategy company and has been a venture partner in one of Northern Virginia’s premier angel investment groups. Through these experiences, he has regularly provided coaching and training at multiple high-tech incubators.

Supporting clients with a holistic practice, Mr. Kronman is valued for his deep understanding of business issues behind the law, key market drivers, and nuances faced by legal transactions.
