Summer Associate Program

Our Summer Associate Program offers law students a unique opportunity to gain meaningful experience at a firm specializing in national security, aerospace, and defense sectors. At Fluet, Summer Associates aren’t just observers, they’re valued team members. You’ll receive immediate hands-on experience with sophisticated legal matters while benefiting from direct mentorship from Partners. Our collaborative environment provides cross-practice opportunities and exposes you to highly regulated industries, preparing you for a successful legal career in specialized fields.

We actively recruit both 2L and 1L students, with formal recruiting typically beginning in the summer and fall of the year prior to the program.

Fluet’s Summer Associate Program at a Glance:

Program Timing: Begins mid-to-late May each year.
Duration: Approximately 10-12 weeks of comprehensive legal experience.
Cohort Size: 2-3 Summer Associates annually.

For students interested in legal careers or the business of law, we offer opportunities based on the firm’s needs throughout the year:

Law Clerk Positions: Current law students can apply for Law Clerk roles to assist with legal research, writing, and other substantive work while developing essential skills through mentorship from our attorneys.

Law Clerks at Fluet become integral parts of our team, tackling meaningful projects that contribute to client work. You’ll navigate complex business environments, participate in cross-functional initiatives, and gain insights into specialized practice areas.
