Grace Williams has a background in complex litigation, investigations, and employment law. She regularly advises businesses on workplace issues and employment matters. In addition, she represents private and public sector employees and employers in the Virginia state and federal courts, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Merit System Protection Board (MSPB).

Ms. Williams has significant experience representing client interests during all stages of litigation and settlement negotiations. She has conducted and advised clients during internal and government investigations and is an aggressive negotiator and litigator.

Through her employment related practice, Ms. Williams counsels government contractors and employers facing unique and complicated workplace related situations. This has included high profile or complicated executive departures, internal disputes or investigations involving senior managers, executives, company owners, corporate officers, and directors. She also drafts, reviews, and negotiates non-competition, non-solicitation, non-disclosure and severance agreements for companies and their employees. Devising cost-effective strategies to resolve all matters of conflict in the workplace while protecting her clients’ interests is always her focus.

Ms. Williams received her undergraduate degree from The University of California at San Diego in Political Science and International Relations. During law school, she was a George Mason School of Law Trial Advocacy Association Board Member and was active in the Student Bar Association. Prior to law school, she spent three years as a paralegal working on complex criminal investigations and litigation in white collar cases. Ms. Williams also served as a Presidential Management Fellow and government attorney before joining Fluet.

Representative Matters

  • Successfully negotiated and obtained court-approved settlements for wrongful death claims in Virginia Circuit Courts.
  • Defended white collar professionals during joint criminal and civil investigations by federal authorities, resulting in no charges filed.
  • Obtained $900,000 settlement for serious personal injuries sustained at a residential construction site.
  • As post trial counsel, defeated $60,000+ attorney’s petition filed by prevailing Plaintiff against client, resulting in no fees awarded.
  • Obtained defense verdict at a plea-in-bar hearing, resulting in client’s dismissal from case.
