Ten years ago, our founder Joe Fluet was inspired to leave a large D.C. law firm when he discovered an untapped opportunity within the legal industry. Throughout his career, Joe encountered many clients who needed more legal experience than a solo lawyer or small firm could provide, but also required a cost-effective alternative to the “Big Law” firm.
Joe opened Fluet & Associates to create this specialized, mid-sized option. The firm got its start out of a small office in Woodbridge, VA, with one corporate client, and it steadily grew to what Fluet is today – a Metro D.C. Area law firm comprised of 40 plus attorneys and professional staff who have served more than 1,000 corporate and individual clients.
Cornerstone to our growth and success has been employing the right lawyers and staff members – individuals who are congenial and collaborative, who understand business because they have first-hand experience, and who, above all, put the client first.
It is our client-focused approach that has fueled the firm’s growth. Our firm started with Joe working high-profile cases with sensitive legal matters, and we have since expanded to tackle virtually any legal issue a middle-market company may face.
