Fluet is pleased to announce that the American Bar Association (ABA) has, once again, appointed Partner Dave Jonas as a special advisor to the Rule of Law Initiative (ROLI) Council for the new term.
As a benchmark initiative in the legal industry, ROLI promotes justice, economic opportunity, and human dignity through the rule of law. Its special advisors include U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, retired Justice Anthony Kennedy, and other notable legal professionals.
In his role, Mr. Jonas will analyze matters in four main areas: Governance and Justice System Strengthening; Transitions, Conflict Mitigation, and Peacebuilding; Human Rights and Access to Justice; and Inclusive and Sustainable Development. As the legal profession continues to adapt to challenges posted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the work of the Council is even more critical. Read more on the Council’s initiatives.
Mr. Jonas’ one-year term will begin at the adjournment of the 2021 ABA Annual Meeting. The firm is proud of Mr. Jonas for this latest achievement and is eager to see how he will continue to use this position to address issues of importance to the legal profession and the public.
