Luke Schlobohm is an Associate in Fluet’s Government Contracts and International Trade Practices who brings a multidisciplinary background combining technical training in mechanical engineering with practical experience across defense procurement, national security legal policy, and civil litigation.

Prior to joining Fluet, Mr. Schlobohm served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable James A. Crowell IV in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia’s Civil Division. His public sector background includes internships with the Department of Defense Office of General Counsel in both International Affairs and Acquisitions & Logistics. In those roles, he reviewed international agreements for Case-Zablocki Act compliance, conducted legal research regarding foreign entity designations, and analyzed developments in federal procurement jurisprudence. Mr. Schlobohm also previously completed legal internships with the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division’s Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section and with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps at III Corps in Fort Hood, TX.

Before attending law school, Mr. Schlobohm worked as a validation engineer and technical writer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he developed a strong foundation in technical problem-solving and commercial contracting.

Mr. Schlobohm earned his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, graduating with High Honors and induction into the Order of the Coif, with a concentration in National Security & Cybersecurity Law. During law school, he served as Managing Editor of The George Washington Law Review (Vol. 93), President of the National Security Law Association, a Dean’s Fellow, and a member of the Moot Court Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside.

In his free time, you can find Mr. Schlobohm hiking, singing karaoke, competing in strategy tabletop and computer games, and watching Manchester City Football Club.
